These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Money Bits mobile application ("the App"), published by IB Tech Lab ("we", "us"). By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What Money Bits Is
Money Bits is a personal finance tracking tool that runs entirely on your device. It lets you record income, expenses, and transfers across accounts you define, organize them with categories, view analytics, and manage optional local reminders. All data you enter is stored locally in the App's own storage on your device; the App does not require you to create an account and does not operate a server-side backend for your financial data.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract to use the App. The App is not directed at, and should not be used by, children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher).
3. License to Use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial financial tracking. You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent applicable law expressly permits;
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content;
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable law, or to store or process data you do not have the right to hold.
4. Your Data and Your Responsibility for It
- You control your data. Everything you enter into Money Bits — account balances, transactions, notes, categories — is created and stored by you, on your own device. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.
- You are responsible for backups.Because your data lives only on your device, actions like uninstalling the App, resetting your device, losing your device, or using the "Clear All Data" feature will permanently delete it. We strongly recommend using the App's built-in export feature (Settings → Data Management) to keep your own backup copies. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from device loss, damage, factory reset, uninstallation, or your use of the Clear All Data / Replace-on-import features.
- Exported files are your responsibility. When you export a backup or CSV file and share it (e.g., via email or cloud storage), you are choosing where that file goes. Keep exported files, which contain your financial information in plain form, somewhere secure.
5. Not Financial Advice
Money Bits is a record-keeping and visualization tool. Nothing in the App — including summaries, charts, categorized breakdowns, or any generated insight text — constitutes financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Decisions you make about your money based on information in the App are your own responsibility. Consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
6. No Payments Processed by the App
As of this version, Money Bits does not process payments, does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions, and does not move real money. Any account balances or transactions you record are entries you make for your own tracking purposes; the App does not connect to any bank, card network, or payment processor.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects, or that calculations, totals, or generated insights will be accurate in every case — you should independently verify figures that matter to you.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IB Tech Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App — including loss of financial data stored locally on your device — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
9. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and branding, is owned by IB Tech Lab or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time, including by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at any time, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms; since the App does not use accounts, "termination" in practice means the App or a given feature may no longer be available to you.
11. Changes to the App or These Terms
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the effective date above. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. Since the App does not have user accounts, you will not receive an individual notice — please review this page periodically.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, and any dispute arising from these Terms or the App will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
